We are very excited to introduce Mike Nielsen, 15 ROX Head Coach. Mike is a local KC North product who began playing club volleyball in middle school. He continued into college on volleyball scholarship at Graceland University where he also began building his coaching experience. Mike is passionate about volleyball and looks forward to recruiting and training a team filled with athletes who exhibit his great passion for the game and wish to focus on playing among the top junior club teams in the country.

During Mike's senior year of high school his club team placed 13th at Junior Nationals and during his final year in Iowa he coached the Graceland Men's Junior Varsity. In an outstanding season Mike proved his coaching capabiity leading them to a 5th Place finish at the NIRSA Volleyball Nationals. After college Mike returned to KC North and has coached club volleyball for the past 7 years. Mike came to Highlands Performance last year to co-coach the 18s team, where all 8 of the seniors from that team were recruited to play in college.
