2010/11
  • Reaching the finals in 25 tournaments and winning 12 championships, 2010 was great!!  For the 5th straight year Highlands Performance Volleyball has sent one or more teams to Junior Nationals.  14 Red finished 13th overall in the National Division in Reno, NV at the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals.  Well done - players, coaches and parents!!!
  • 13 Red become the 2nd Highlands Performance team to reach the Gold Bracket Semifinals in a Junior National Qualifier at Show-Me Qualifier.  In the semifinal match they gave a phenomenal performance against MAVs 13-1, by far the tightest scores against MAVs the whole tournament, proving they can compete with the best teams in the country.  Congratulations girls!
  • Continuing on the path of seeking out the best competition in the country 14 Red entered Show-Me with high hopes of winning an Open Division bid to Junior Nationals.  The girls played great on day 1 going 2-1 and giving them the opportunity to qualify.  Day 2 and day 3 were not as favorable as they lost in very tight matches to teams that qualified.  Their experiences this season have taught them that they can compete amongst the best teams in the country and sets the stage for unlimited opportunity!  16 Red and 17 Red teams both reached the gold bracket semifinals and 18 Red reach the silver bracket semifinals.  Outstanding job HIghlands girls!
  • Congratulations to 18 Red and their coaches, John and Stephanie Hamann.  All eight seniors have committed to play at the collegiate level next year.  Best of luck to each of you!
  • Seeking the Open Division 14 Red reached the gold pools in 14 Open at Lone Star Classic and finished 7th/28 teams.  This was the first Open Division National Qualifier ever for Highlands Performance Volleyball and a great effort by the team.  The girls went 2-1 on day 1 and 3-0 on day 2 before faltering on the final day losing 2 close matches knocking them out of contention in their hunt for an open division bid (the highest level) to Junior Nationals.
  • Highlands Performance 14 Red wins the HOA Region Bid Tournament! With an exceptional performance on March 27th and 28th winning every match capped off with a sweep of KC Extreme in the finals, the girls became the 1st Highlands Performance Volleyball team to claim the HOA Region Bid Championship.
Coming together is a beginning,

2006/07
  • Two teams played in the Junior Olympic Nationals in Minneapolis this year!
  • 12-1 Red Hots finished 3rd at the Regional Championships.
  • 15 National placed 4th at HOA Powerleague.
  • We also had a tournament champion at the American Volleyball Challenge and several additional tournament championships.
  • We placed 3 teams in the HOA Region top 10 final rankings.
2005/06
We qualified our first team, 14-1 to attend the Junior Olympic National Championships.
This was also the first team in our five year history to reach the Gold Bracket of a Junior National Qualifier.  Other outstanding accomplishments include placing 3 teams in the final top 10 rankings for the Heart of America Region and several tournament championships.  One other significant move this year involved formally establishing the Skills Training Program for our high school age girls headed by Tony Visintine.
2004/05
Plans were laid for a significant expansion nearly doubling the girls teams and establishing the groundwork for a year-round program.  New additions to our staff include Tony Visintine, a former Juniors All-American and collegiate standout; Brick Owens, one of the original Team KC coaches and a well known face in the KC area juniors volleyball world and Lisa Kear, a former collegiate teammate of Inger's.

Each of the three gold teams (14's, 15's and 16's) qualified for Powerleague.  Our athletes played all around the KC Metro and traveled to Denver, Omaha, Springfield and Minneapolis in search of the competitive opportunities and experiences that would continue to mold and develop them as elite volleyball players and teams.  Several of the girls who initially joined the club have played together all four years and are now playing for their high school Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

We established VISTA Skills Academy focused on providing a true volleyball development program for young athletes beginning as early as 8 and 9 years old.  The future prospects for our teams and development of players is very exciting!
2002/03
Our teams included one 12's Silver, one 13's Silver and one 14's Gold.  Our coaches were Lisa Lawrence, Liz Sharp, Kathleen Wessinger, Randy Condit and Meghan Mueller.

The 14's finished the years ranked 5th at HOA and T-5th at Regionals.  Highlights include finishing 2nd at Gold Heart Challenge winning 9 straight matching until falling in the final.  The girls earned a tournament championship, several 2nd place finished and had our first ventures into playing at a National Qualifier at Crossroad with both the 13's and 14's in action.
2001/02
Highlands VBC was founded by Randy and Inger Condit with 2 teams - one 12's Silver and one 13's Gold.  Our coaches were Inger & Randy Condit, Lisa Lawrence and Glenn Garrison.  Highlights included the 13's finishing 2nd at three HOA tournaments and the 12's winning the first tournament championship for the club.
2003/04
Highlands VBC doubled in size from 3 to 6 teams.  Two teams 12's, one Gold and one Silver; one 13's Gold; one 14's Gold; one 14's Gold and one Boy's 14's.  Club coaches were Inger and Randy Condit, Lisa Lawrence, Heather Jacques, Joe Tarantino, Cheryl Churchman, Janne Peltonen, Dave Lawrence, Sugglis Chinchilla, Veronica Mobley, Sarah Hake and Mark and Martha Wolf.

Each of the gold teams played very competitively with final rankings ranging from 6th for 13's, 12th for 15's and 16th for 14's and the clubs first ever HOA Regional Championship by the boys.

The club continued to show well in many tournaments across the region and the 13's had the first trip to a Junior National Qualifier outside of the Kansas City area traveling to Indianapolis to play in the Mideast Junior National Qualifier.
