(As of 10/22/2011 - Positions are still available for our Winter program) VISTA is the premier youth skills program in Kansas City designed for girls ages 7 - 11. Join us in the excitement of competitive volleyball and train to be part of the next generation of elite volleyball players. Registration now open for our Winter 2011/2012 session which begins November 21st.
Sports training models, like VISTA (Volleyball International Skills Training Academy) that introduce young players to technical skills training experience great success. Training is conducted using a personalized-style while maintaining a low player to coach ratio in short intensive sessions allowing skill development to come quickly. This method proves extremely effective when focusing on the basic skills of passing, setting, hitting and serving
Since it's inception in 2004, over 175 young players have received training with VISTA. As a testament to VISTA's value several of our participants have
- earned positions on their high school junior varsity and varsity teams as 9th graders
- been selected onto nationally competitive club teams and
- competed at the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals and AAU Junior Girls National Championships
VISTA Youth Academy is limited in size and accepts players on a first come, first served basis. Participants receive 20 sessions of skills training each year. All sessions are led by experienced coaches who know how to train while keeping it fun so the girls learn to love the game. Opportunities for putting the skills acquired into controlled competition begin in the later stages of the program. Join us for the 8th year of our exciting volleyball skills program and become a high level player with excellent skills. We encourage younger players to participate in the program for 2 years as they prepare to move into competitive club play.
VISTA Director, Inger Condit, is a great teacher and motivator of young athletes. She has taken 13s and 14s teams to Junior Nationals including a 13th place finish in 2010. Her high school teams have reached the Final Four three times including one Missouri State Championship title, a 2nd place finish and a 4th place finish during her high school coaching career which included over 350 wins in 14 years.
